Employee Financial Education

Employees participating in employee benefit plans will have the prospect of receiving significant amounts of cash or stock or shares on an ad-hoc basis. Providing them with knowledge and advice to plan ahead for such an event is increasingly regarded as essential to enabling companies to maximise the value which they get from their plans.Our long history of financial management for private clients means that we are well placed to help provide financial education and other wealth management support both prior to and when employees receive value from the plan. We can do this in a variety of ways:

On-site seminars – these could focus on the impact of receiving a benefit under the plan and cover not only specific tax implications and planning opportunities but also general financial planning issues such as planning for major life cycle events (eg school fees and retirement planning) and protection of wealth.
Communication materials – providing generic financial and tax information to employees including frequently asked questions and answers. This can either be in paper format or available via the Abacus web site.
Helpline – a telephone helpline can be made available to provide answers to employee questions.
One to one meetings – this service would usually be tailored for senior employees receiving significant value from the plan. The employee would have an opportunity to meet with and receive independent investment and other financial and tax advice at your offices from a member of the Abacus Financial and Investment Consulting team.
