Andy is jointly responsible for the Corporate Services Division within Abacus, which includes the Abacus Employee Benefits Group and the Abacus Fund Administration Group. With his colleague Geraldine O'Rourke, he established the Employee Benefits Group in 1996 and has been instrumental in developing the firm's business in stock and employee benefit plan administration and trusteeship. In 2001, Andy and Geraldine established Abacus offices in Edinburgh and London to administer global and country specific stock plans, SIPs and other UK approved plans and employee benefit plans where an offshore presence is not required. Andy oversees the Edinburgh and London offices of the Employee Benefits Group and is also a director of Abacus Financial Services Group Limited.
An English solicitor, Andy graduated from the University of Kent at Canterbury with a BA (Hons) Law in 1985 and an LLM in International Commercial Law in 1986. Before joining Abacus, he practiced with Laytons, a London Law firm and Ernst & Young. Since 1991, he has specialised in employee benefits and worked extensively on employee share ownership plans.
Andy is a main board Director of GEO (the Global Equity Organisation) and acitvely involved in promoting share ownership throughout the international community. He is also a member of the UK and European Centres for Employee Share Ownership
Andy's interests include skiing, boating, golf, travel, theatre and cinema.
