STAFF at Abacus Financial Services Group have raised just under £2,000 for Red Nose Day by holding a unique raffle.
Employees vied for the coveted prize of an extra day's holiday and four lucky winners came out on top. Katherine Gamlin, Giles Morison, Phil de Gruchy and Lee Quemard are all planning on how to make the most of the unexpected break.
Marketing manager for Abacus, Claire Reid, said the unusual raffle prize acted as an extra incentive for staff to dig deep in their pockets and raise money for the worthy cause.
'Everybody at Abacus really got into the swing of Red Nose Day and we were delighted at the large sum of money the raffle raised,' she said.
Less successful members of staff were still able to treat themselves to something a little special by purchasing a cake from a sale also held during the day. All proceeds from the sale were also donated. |
